Disneyland

Our dept rewards us with an event if we meet the dept goal 3 consecutive months in a row. We did (again). For the past month we were given clues as to where we'd be going. Yesterday we met up at our other building. We got into our teams and it was announced that we'd be going on a scavenger hunt... at DISNEYLAND! It was excatly what I was hoping for, even in this hot sticky weather. I LOVE DISNEYLAND and Mickey is my favorite character.

We got there around 9am and had until 2pm to check in with our completed (as best as possible) packet. I thought we did good, considering we didn't get the "ride" points because we wasted alot of time running around back and forth instead of getting on rides for points. :-\ There were 23 teams... we must've come in like 9th place with 422 points. :-( The winning team had 560 something. The winning team's prize was $200 EACH team member. Damn... maybe next time. At least I know where the crystal green elephant is now. ::shrug::

When it was time for every time one to go, we were given the option of staying (at our own expense/ride home/etc). I wanted to stay but had gotten there by riding with the rest of my team members. Cindy also wanted to stay, but same thing with her. Soooo... Cindy called her bf and he said to stay and he'd go pick us up when we wanted to leave. We left at 10pm... after the fireworks. And he picked us up from the Lion King (Timono [sp?]) parking lot. Since I had already arranged for my dad to pick me up from where he'd dropped me off that morning, I told Cindy's bf to drop me off there instead of taking me home.

I had a GOOD TIME, despite the heat and all that. We only got on 4 rides (after 4pm when we were given the option of going home or staying). We went on Space Mountain, It's a small World, Big Thunder Mountain and The Haunted Mansion. We then went to eat something (turkey legs), stayed for the fireworks (which I did not care for since I'm afraid of them) and went home. The good thing is that my manager had an immediate boarding pass for Space Mountain so we got on immediately. We didn't have to wait 3 HOURS like everyone else!

So yeah... I had a blast, I got a sunburn, and I can barely walk now bcuz I'm so tired. Feels like I have wooden legs. :-( But I'm ready and willing to do it again next weekend (Friday? Saturday?) again. I requested the day off from work about a week ago to go. Friday doesn't look good anymore though (something came up). I had originally planned on going on the 5th - 2 days before my b-day - but that was a no-go. We'll see how this other day planned goes...
